It was the first follow-through I had ever experienced in this situation. What I didn't tell Drew was that I actually was becoming interested in selling my house. In fact I was testing the waters to see if he'd be someone I'd like to work with. Through the years I have socially encountered many real estate sales people who made me uncomfortable. Too slick, too much jargon. Drew gave me the impression that I would enjoy working with him on the project of selling my house. I wound up giving him permission to try to sell my house. Over the next week his hustle impressed me so much that I let him know that I'd let him try to find me my next house too. Both the spreadsheets and the offers that came in were about 15% lower than the number I felt my house was worth. Drew and Adam realized that I wasn't really interested in selling for less than my number, so they re-doubled their efforts to find a buyer for me. They even did a full day of physical labor helping me prepare the property for a broker’s open-house. How many brokers would do that? These guys are special. In the end, their strategy for building excitement over my property (excitement it deserved, by the way) worked like magic. That excitement got me an offer right at my number before the open-house could even happen. Drew and Adam negotiated a very fast sale, which was a good thing because they had also found me the house of my dreams up in the hills, and negotiated a very good price for me. They uncomplicated my life every step of the way, negotiated great deals for me and made me the envy of my friends some of whom have had very bad experiences with real estate brokers through the years. Every step of the way they smoothed out the complicated process of selling one house and buying another at pretty much the same time. Five months after we first met Drew and Adam my wife and I were living in our new house, and somebody else owned my old property. Drew and Adam exceeded my expectations in many ways. If you're looking for a broker, I recommend them unreservedly. They are guys who do what they say they will do, who put in the hard work for their clients and who are a joy to work with.
